Armed men rob home of Bobcats' Stephen JacksonBasketball Betting Lines07/23/2010 - CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Police are investigating a home invasion and armed robbery at the home of Charlotte Bobcats player Stephen Jackson. Multiple media organizations reported Friday that three masked gunmen entered Jackson's home in a gated community of million-dollar homes early Wednesday. Police say the thieves took a 9mm pistol, a ruby-encrusted wristwatch, a Louis Vuitton wallet and other items. Jackson was in Texas for a basketball camp. His wife was home and was forced into a bathroom, where police found her. She wasn't hurt. Police say there were no signs of forced entry at the 6,000-square-foot home. No arrests have been made. Playing for the Tampa Bay Bucs last season was a large part of the regression, everyone was bad in TB last season. Bryant should have a bounce back season if he can win the number two spot from Terrell Owens. If Bryant wins the number 2 WR spot, it will open up a completely new set of problems for the Bengals. If Owens is forced to the bench in favor of Bryant, his attitude will create trouble for Carson Palmer and head coach Marv Lewis. If Owens is the number two receiver, it means Bryant can’t live up to his past numbers and the Bengals are still limited in the passing game. They have beaten Kansas and Cal (right after the DeVon Hardin injury) earlier this season, but also have lost to Bradley and Purdue, among others. They'll likely need a couple of BE tourney wins, too, but we'll see ... West Virginia [19-7 (8-6), RPI: 58, SOS: 125] The game at Pitt on Tuesday night could decide the Mountaineers' fate (barring a deep tournament run). They can still get to 9-7 in the Big East without it by beating Cincinnati, but the nine wins would be against UConn, Villanova, St. John's, South Florida, DePaul, Rutgers, Seton Hall twice and the Bearcats. Beating bubble foes is fine, but where's the beef? Outside of beating PG-less UCLA in nonconference play (still a top quality win), there's not a lot to fall back on (besides maybe NC State). WVU vs. Syracuse would be an interesting debate, as the teams don't play in the Big East regular season. WVU has the best win, but Cuse has played the much better schedule. Providence [17-10 (7-7), RPI: 70, SOS: 33] The Friars likely saw their at-large hopes die at home in the four-point loss to Syracuse, barring an unexpected run to the Big East semis or more. The RPI, bad already, won't be helped by playing St. John's and South Florida in the final two league games.
