Horcoff tried to whack the rebound in, but was also denied, before Hall came around the net on the left side and backhanded a loose puck into the open side of the net for the win. Earlier, Alfredsson opened the scoring 4:36 into the first period on a shot from the point. Edmonton didn't tie it until 14:05 into the second when Paajarvi was in the slot for an easy rebound. That was the first of three goals in the six minutes of the second period. Michalek made it 2-1 Ottawa, scoring through Khabibulin's legs on a break, and Eager tied it again with 68 seconds left in the period on a wrister from the left side. Horcoff's goal came 42 seconds into the third period, and Karlsson scored midway through the frame to tie it. Game Notes Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play...The Oilers are returning home for three games against Toronto, Colorado and Vancouver starting Wednesday...Ottawa is headed out on the road for three games against Tampa Bay, Florida and the New York Islanders.
