Heat welcome Nets to South Beach

Basketball Betting Lines

11/10/2008 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Miami Heat will try to get back on the winning track this evening, when they kick off a three-game homestand versus the New Jersey Nets at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Miami, which will also welcome Portland and Washington to South Beach, had its brief two-game winning streak come to an end with Saturday's 100-89 setback to the New Orleans Hornets on the road. Dwyane Wade scored 30 points and had 10 assists for the Heat, who are 3-3 on the season.

Chris Quinn had 14 points and Udonis Haslem added 12 in defeat while both Shawn Marion and rookie Michael Beasley each had 10 points.

Heat guards Marcus Banks (groin) and Shaun Livingston (knee), and forward Dorell Wright (knee/Achilles tendinitis) are all questionable for Monday.

The Nets, meanwhile, have lost three of their last four games to fall to 2-3 on the 2008-09 campaign. In Saturday's 98-80 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse, Vince Carter had 31 points and Keyon Dooling was the only other double-digit scorer with 17 in a losing effort.

First-year Net Yi Jianlian had just two points and grabbed 11 boards.

On the injury front for New Jersey, guard Devin Harris (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against Miami. Harris missed the Indiana game.

New Jersey went 2-1 against the Heat last season and has won six of the previous 10 meetings.

The Nets have won three straight and four of its last five at Miami.
