The game will be played at Soldier Field in Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, and the schools also announced they will meet in a home-and-home series in 2016 and 2017. "I am excited to announce that the University of Miami has renewed its historic football rivalry with the University of Notre Dame," University of Miami director of athletics Kirby Hocutt said. "Not only is it an outstanding opportunity for both programs, but it is great for the sport of college football." The rivalry, dubbed by many as "Catholics vs. Convicts" in the late 1980s, was highlighted by a fight between the teams in the tunnel of Notre Dame Stadium in 1988, a game the Fighting Irish won by a 31-30 score en route to their last national title. The series was not renewed after 1990 due to the bad blood between the programs. The Fighting Irish lead the all-time series, 15-7-1.

Last season the Giants were a very reliable bet going 12-4 ATS. In the Giants' last 20 games against fellow teams from the NFC East; they are 13-7 ATS. Dallas is listed at +240 to win the division. Dallas went 9-7 SU and 7-9 ATS last season and with the amount of talent the Cowboys have, a similar performance won't do. The Cowboys have been atrocious against divisional rivals, going 6-14 ATS in their last 20. The Washington Redskins are longshots to win the division at +550.
