Al Thornton donated 15 points while Marcus Camby had 19 rebounds and 10 points for Los Angeles, which was without center Chris Kaman due to a sprained ankle. Trailing 94-81 with 8:40 remaining in the fourth, the Clippers got back in the game with a 9-1 spurt. Camby's slam had LA within 95-90 with 5 1/2 minutes to play. Minnesota went on a 14-3 burst moments later to secure the victory. Flynn's trey capped the burst, giving the Timberwolves a 111-95 advantage with only seconds remaining. The Timberwolves took control from the start, opening the game on a 19-5 run. Flynn tallied seven points during the burst, which Brewer capped with a jumper near the midway point. Minnesota led 34-20 after 12 minutes. Ahead 36-27 with less than eight minutes left in the second, the Timberwolves went on an 18-4 spurt to build a large margin. Love scored six points during the flurry that Hollins ended with a pair of free throws to make it 54-31 with over 1 1/2 minutes remaining. The score was 56-37 at the half. Los Angeles used a 10-0 burst near the end of the third to get within nine. Davis scored eight of those points to make it a 80-71 contest with over a minute to go. The Clippers trailed 82-73 heading to the fourth. Game Notes The Clippers were trying to sweep the season series from Minnesota for the first time since the 1992-93 season...Los Angeles fell to 1-4 on a season-long eight game road trip...The Clippers have dropped 11 of their last 12 games away from Staples Center.
