Rookie Terrence Williams had 14 points and a career-best 14 assists for the Nets, who closed out a three-game homestand in fine fashion by shooting a season-high 58.2 percent from the field. Keyon Dooling added 13 points and Brook Lopez and Josh Boone 12 each. Jarvis Hayes and Yi Jianlian scored 10 apiece to highlight a bright spot in an otherwise bleak season. The win was New Jersey's fourth in six games. The club had strung together back-to-back wins for the first time this season last week and moved to 11-65 on the year. David West had 25 points to lead the Hornets, who have lost three in a row and five straight on the road. Marcus Thornton scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. The Nets were on top 30-24 at the close of the first quarter and surged to a 17-point lead late in the second quarter behind a 15-4 run. Douglas-Roberts paced the sequence with six points and polished it off with two at the line for a 55-38 margin with 3:45 to go. New Orleans scratched back to within 12, 59-47, at halftime. The Nets shot a blistering 64.7 percent in the third quarter, led by Yi's six points, to build an 84-71 lead after three quarters. In comparison, New Orleans shot 39.8 percent for the game and wilted down the stretch. The visitors made just seven of their 24 shot attempts (29.2 percent) in the final period as New Jersey rolled to a rare easy win. Game Notes The Nets improved their record at home to 7-32...New Orleans fell to 12-28 as the visitor...New Orleans defeated New Jersey, 103-99, back on January 8 and had won five straight over the Nets...Darius Songaila provided 10 points off the bench for New Orleans...Chris Paul was just 2-of-11 shooting to end with four points and six assists for the Hornets...Kris Humpries ended with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Nets.
