Blazers eye up No. 6 seed out West; face Warriors

Basketball Betting Lines

04/14/2010 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Portland Trail Blazers are eyeing up the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoffs, but first must get past the Golden State Warriors tonight at home from the Rose Garden.

Portland can secure the No. 6 spot with a win tonight or a San Antonio loss, and has won two straight and four of its last five games. It continued to stay in the W column with Monday's 103-95 victory over the playoff-bound Oklahoma City Thunder, as Marcus Camby scored a season-high 30 points and also grabbed 13 rebounds.

Andre Miller added 22 points and seven assists for Portland, which played without top guard Brandon Roy because of a partially torn meniscus in his right knee. Roy is expected to rest for several days before determining whether or not he will play through the injury during the playoffs or have surgery that requires a possible four-to-six week recovery period.

"We've been in this position before without having guys," said fellow Blazers star LaMarcus Aldridge, who is probable for tonight with a balky calf. "We don't want to get used to it, but at least we've been here, so we know how to play. That makes it a little bit easier."

The Blazers are 26-14 in the Rose City this season.

Golden State has alternated wins and losses over its last six games, and sustained a 103-94 setback versus the Utah Jazz the previous time out on Tuesday in Oakland.

Devean George made five three-pointers en route to a season-high 21 points off the bench for the Warriors, who got 17 points and six assists from rookie Stephen Curry.

"Having to play with so many different lineups and seven or eight guys for 40- plus games this year -- considering all that, I feel like we've had a pretty good year," Curry said. "We finished out the year pretty strong and got coach (Don Nelson the all-time coaching wins) record."

Nelson passed Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkins as the all-time winningest coach in NBA history. Nelson's squad is 7-33 as the visitor in 2009-10.

Portland has won two of three matchups with Golden State this season, while the Warriors have dropped four in a row and 18 of 23 games at the Blazers.
